Welcome to the website of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Energy Studies (PGES).
The only Parliamentary Group to focus on all areas of the energy industry, PGES is primarily a forum for high-level discussion of key energy issues facing the country and the world. We hold monthly speaker meetings in Westminster, featuring a range of political speakers, industry leaders and experts from business and academia.
Our members include Parliamentarians from the House of Commons and the House of Lords, Members of the European Parliament, leading academic institutions, and industry representatives ranging from SMEs to multi-national corporations operating right across the energy sector. You can find out more about our membership here.
Articles from all of our speakers, as well as additional contributions from industry experts and academics, are published in the Group’s tri-annual journal, Energy Focus. Click here for samples of our most recent editions.
The Group also hosts two major annual events – our House of Lords Dinner, in the spring, and a Summer Reception, which takes place on the House of Commons terrace. In recent years these have featured keynote addresses from The Rt Hon. Mr Ed Davey MP, Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, and Stephen Lovegrove CB, Permanent Secretary to the Department for Energy and Climate Change.
This is not an official website of the House of Commons or the House of Lords. It has not been approved by either House or its Committees. All Party Groups are informal groups of members with a common interest in particular issues.
